Links to our Flash Video Slideshows
Posted on March 29, 2008
There are some new links to our flash video slideshows. Previously, when anyone srcolled down the blog posts, it was possible to have more than one going at the same time and I had to find a way to calm them down.
The weddings videos are at:

This is to a widget on a page on my own web site. It will be automatically updated everytime I add a video to my Wedding Video pod.
I also have personalized sites set up on Vodpod, where these are collected.
This wedding Video pod is at:

Holly and Chris wedding Feb 17, 2007 In Lansing
Posted on March 22, 2008
Sunday February 17th was my niece Holly’s wedding in Lansing to Chris, who is in the US Army. Julie and I traveled up with some family to photograph the wedding held at the “Cadillac Club” – very interesting decor with pink Cadillac couches and Cadillac memorabilia all over. It was an afternoon ceremony and celebration and afterwards they did a little “Bowling” since this was on the their regular league night.

Quick Porch Pics for Save the date cards and magnets
Posted on March 22, 2008
As we are working with and booking our couples for the 2008 wedding season, we are finding that many are interested in “Save the Date” cards and magnets etc. I have been working with some new design software to come up with some modern designs.
I am also trying to work out ways to be able to photograph some simple relaxed fun images right here in my wide front porch. Courney and Matt were interested in this and we gave it a try – this time with a soft background I have. I will soon be adding some white rollup shades.

All Day Program at DPPA with Jerry Ghionis
Posted on March 22, 2008
I am the president of the Detroit Professional Photographers Association and March 11 we hosted Jerry Ghionis – a word renown wedding photographer and speaker – from Australia. We were fortunate to get him to stop here on the way from Australia to Las Vegas where he will be speaking at WPPI – the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention.
We filled the house with over 200 photographers – and we all marveled at his phenomenal photographic talent, his passionate and entertaining delivery and savy business and marketing advice. As the president, it was my priveledge to introduce him and run the program. He spoke all day and again in the evening for our regular meeting. Julie is also on the board and did a great job as our raffel girl – we had so many great gifts donated by our vendors that everyone wanted to buy them.
Times like this makes me really proud and enjoy my role as president of this great organization that does so much to keep photographers current on the latest advances and trends around the world.

On Sunday March 8th Julie and I had the opportunity to display our Photography at the German American Cultural Center “Networking Fair” in Sterling Heights. With my German background, it was interesting to see so many other businesses with German roots. I could speak German and most people there could even pronounce my real name – Waltraud.
