Anni and Matt October 6th 2007
Posted on October 30, 2007
Wally was the main photographer for the wedding of Anni and Matt on October 6th. The girls got ready at her grandmothers home in Redford where she had lived recenetly so this was very special. The beautiful church was the Redford Presbyterian Church close by which was very nice. For our fun romantic time we drove to the central park in Plymouth close to their reception site at the Plymouth Meeting House. This was a lot of fun for them and the whole bridal party, on a beautiful day. The reception was also so much fun – I have to give them a lot of credit – they were on the dance floor loving to dance almost the entire evening – which is great to see. Everyone enjoys it more that way.

Erin and Shane September 30th, 2007
Posted on October 30, 2007
The wedding of Erin and Shane on September 30th was terrific. The girls got ready at a home in West Bloomfield and then we went to beautiful Marsh Park. This is where they met for the fist time and we had some great romantics with them. Other family members joined in on the fun. The ceremony site was a beautiful summer home in the Waterford area on the lake. A huge tent was set up for the reception festivities and a Huppa in front of the waters edge for the ceremony. They had actually lived in St Croix in the Virgin Islands before before so a wedding in Michigan was a special treat to all. Somehow they couldn’t keep out of the water for some fun romantics after dinner. Seemed pretty tropical to me! It really was a unique and phenomenal wedding that everyone enjoyed.

Becky and Nick September 29, 2007

We really enjoyed the wedding of Becky and Nick on September 29th. After meeting the girls at the hair salon in Milford, the ceremony was at a the Milford Presbyterian Church. We went on to one of their favorite parks and then we went on to the reception site at the Prestwick Village Golf Club close by. They now live in Carolina and had worked here when they were still in Michigan – so it was very special to be here. We had a long line of golf carts and enjoyed taking romantic images on the the beautiful course. Everyone had so much fun. The following celebration was a great way to end the evening.

Tracy and Rick and baby Gunther visit Michigan for a week in September
Posted on October 20, 2007
Tracy, Rick and Gunther came home to Michigan for a week in September. They also spent time up in West Branch to visit with his parents since they were not able to make it up for the renewal of vows in Alaska in July. The main reason for the trip was Patti’s wedding – Patty has been one of her bests friends since nursing school and like a daughter to me. Patti traveled up to Alaska to stand up for Tracy & Rick at their renewal of vows and Tracy was in Patti’s wedding also.
We watched baby Gunther while they were at the rehearsal dinner Friday, after the wedding Sat, and then hosted a BBQ so her friends and family could visit with them on Sunday – many had not met baby Gunther – who was the hit of the day.
See all of the best of their images on mu Flickr site – using the set by the same name

Patti and Noah September 22, 2007

Patti is like a daughter to me – she is one of Tracy’s very best friends and they spent many a night studying for Nursing school at my house. They were roommates for a few years while working here. She came up to Alaska when Tracy and Rick ne-newed their vows this last summer to stand up in her ceremony and Tracy – along with Rick and baby Gunther – came into town for this. Tracy stood up in her wedding – so this was was like family! Love it!
The girls got ready at their home in Royal Oak and then had a beautiful ceremony at the First United Methodist Church in Royal Oak. We had so much fun with the romantics. Patti’s theme was all natural nature, – flowers, trees, butterflies etc. We were able to get 4 of them plus 2 of us into the zoo to photograph in the outside butterfly garden and then even inside the butterfly atrium inside for a short while. Then we enjoyed some time along Quarten Lake in Birmingham. Everyone had a lot of fun at the reception at Farinas in Berkley.
A beautiful day and wedding. I even got to take my grandson home a little early while my brother Gunther stayed to finish a little more of the fun dancing.

Sarah and Adam September 22, 2007

Julie Proudfoot was the main photographer for the wedding of Sarah and Adam on September 22nd, 2007. We had already photographed a terrific engagement session with them earlier.
Sarah got ready at the Park Place Hotel with the girls and a beautiful ceremony followed at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rochester. Then on to the Carriage House at Pine Know in Clarkston for a great reception. The romantic Photography on the beautiful grounds was great and so much fun. It was great to see Christie and Bill who we had photographed a few years ago – we always appreciate referrals and thank them all.

Megan and Chris September 15, 2007
Posted on October 5, 2007
Megan and Chris were married on September 15th a St Blase Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. For our romantics they chose to go to very unique places that were personal to them through their dating years. We started at the playground at Dodge park and everyone had so much fun on the swings and play sets. Then we went on to Caraboo Coffee on Rochester Rd where Chris used to work and they spend a lot of time – that was very special.
They had a little glitch on the way to the reception – the limo ran out of diesel gas! As I went to get some gas they waved at everyone going by since they had come to a stop on the I-75 overpass over Rochester Road. What a lesson in making lemonaid out of lemons. The limo would not start with the gas I had bought so we took the bride and groom in our van and relatives and friends came to get the others. We still had plenty of time to have some fun on the grounds of the fabulous Canterbury village in Lake Orion. We walked the grounds, rode the carousel and had so much fun. The reception was also great; everyone loved the feel of being in a castle.

Molly and Art September 14, 2007
Posted on October 5, 2007
Molly and Art were married on September 14th at the magnificent Holy Redeemer Church in the Mexican Town part of Detroit. Then we went on to our “Urban” shoot romantics – the tiger at Comerica Park, Hart Plaza and the Fountain on Belle Isle. This was so much fun for all. The reception was at the fabulous Roostertail on th River where everyone enjoyed a great time.

Blue Eyed Baby Girl Braedyn
Posted on October 4, 2007
On September 16th Julie and I photographed the darling little Braedyn while she was visiting at her Nandi and Pappa’s house in West Bloomfield., She is about 8 months old and the daughter of Ericka and Matt – whose wedding we photographed in 2004. She was coming down with a little cold, but we still got some great images. Look at that cute tutu and those big blue eyes! We love working with and having such a great relationship with our former bridal couples and their families.

Julie Photographs Ella in Travers City
Posted on October 4, 2007
On September 12 & 13 Julie photographed the darling little Ella in Traverse City. She had photographed her older sister Bailey when she was about 3, so now it was time for Ella. Beautiful setting and such an enchanting little girl. This is Mike Staff’s daughter, the phenomenal mastermind behind Mike Staff Productions. We recommend each other all the time because we know we can work together so well and we all do great work!
