Our lucky couple for the most popular wedding date of the year was Ryan and Moriah. They had a tender first meeting at the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, The back woods added a different feel to the formal gardens but the whole wedding party enjoyed this special time.  The ceremony was at the Calvery Babtist Church in Canton and the evening topped off with a fantastic reception at the Ritz Carlton in Dearborn.Moriah and RyanMoriah and Ryan

We had a great time photographing Mindy and Geoff at the Detroit Zoo on June 30th.  The Zoo is one of our favorite places to photograph- we just love it there. Mindy and Geoff met before hand and had their special moment in the outside butterfly garden.  Then we got on the private zoo tram and made our rounds to their favorite places.  We started at the Arctic Ring of life and enjoyed the tunnel  We watched a pair of playful seals play overhead as if they were also in love.  The polar bear was outside. We also took photographs at he giraffe habitat and at the stone bridge by the amphibian area.

The ceremony took place inside the butterfly garden with only immediate family – very special and personal. Then on to the reception where we were joined by more family and friends for a great dinner and fun party.  It was so awesome to see the slide show that we had made – of some of the best images taken earlier – on the big screen in the theater – where everyone could come in and watch for awhile and go back out to the party -

Wally was the main photographer for the second wedding we photographed on June 23rd – with the help of Shawn Marie and her brother Gunther – for Staci and Paul.We started at her aunt Patty’s beautiful home in Sylvan Lake where the girls were getting ready. Then we went on to the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Novi for a very moving ceremony. For our fun romantic photo session we wanted to stop at Comerica Park and the Tiger for a short “Urban Shoot”.  Lots was going on but we were allowed to stop and get out. As we were photographing the group – all of a sudden we realized that the tiger mascot had joined us in the back of the group.  We really enjoyed having him stay as we took many more images.  The reception was very unique – at the  “Opus One” restaurant by Greek town in Detroit. This was really a lot of fun and very different.

On the Saturday, Julie was the main photographer with the help of Brian and Steve W. For the wedding of Cheryl and John. After getting ready at their home, they met and drove to the the Law Quad of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for some great romantic fun. Then to the Henry Ford Estate for the ceremony on the terrace – beautiful as ever.  The “romantics” on the grounds – our own little tour that let’s us get to the most picturesque spots in the least amount of time was great.  We love working at the estate.

This was a very busy weekend for us – we started off with a great wedding for Sheri and Jeff.  They met and then enjoyed the beautiful setting of the Heritage Gardens at 24Mi Rd and Van Dyke.  This was a lot of fun for all.  The ceremony and reception was then at the Greystone Golf Club. The weather was sunny and bright and everything went beautifully.
