Family BBQ at my house with Tracy

Posted on May 28, 2006

The Sunday after the wedding (May 21) we had a BBQ at my house so all the relatives could visit with Tracy here.  – Yeh – I made sure we took some group shots – Tracy has only been getting home about once a year – so it is important.  They’re used to it!

Included are my brother Gunther and his wife Sandy and daughter Candice; Brother in law Steve and son Todd (wife Pat & son Eric not pictured); My Ex Russ; Tracy, Julie and the boys – Aaron and Steven, and myself.

We had a great time – just wish it would have been a little warmer.

We really enjoyed Lisa and Pat’s wedding last week, May 20th,especially since Tracy was there and I knew so many of the girls.  We started at their home in Dearborn with the girls and then to the beautiful Sacred Heart Church for the ceremony.  Tracy joined us and even took some photographs during the romantics – we found a great location at the Fairlane Town Center lakes and park.  That was a lot of fun for the whole wedding party – the “Hummer” was a great way to travel!

The whole wedding party went on to Cheli’s for some refreshments and called us back to take some images there – especially with the 2 Red Wing’s players.

The reception was at the elegant Lovett Hall, everyone enjoyed a great dinner and party.

The previews should be on line on the “Event Proofing”  Section within a month from the date of the wedding.  They added some true black and while film to their coverage – so that may take a little longer.

Tracy is Home May 18 – May 23

My youngest daughter Tracy was home for a short visit from Alaska this month.  One of her friends – Lisa- was getting married and a lot of her close college and nursing school friends were there.  We photographed the wedding and enjoyed the time that went all too fast.

She is now 3 months pregnant and feeling great. We are so happy for her and Rick and I’m really looking forward to being a grandma again – even if they are so far away.

We photographed a great wedding for Kim and Matt May 13 at Waldenwoods last weeekend.  Even though we dodged rain drops most of the day that did not dampen spirits.  The ceremony was still held outdoors in the striking lakefront setting – so even with the help of some umbrellas is was wonderful. All the previews will be online in about a month from the date of the wedding  – this will be on the “event proofing” section and will require a password of his last name.

Urban Engagement Session

Posted on May 15, 2006

On Sunday May 7 we had a great time with the “Urban”  engagement session with Nicole and Jacob – their wedding will be this August 5. We had a lot of fun photographing at the America Park Tiger, Hockey town and the Fox,  Campus Martius and the Hard Rock Cafe as well as the Riverfront and Hart Plaza.

This is a collage of some of the best of the images – you can see them all on-line on our “Event Proofing” section o the main web site.  There is no password needed at this time.

Julie and Brian have been doing some photographing for the Grand Rapids Rampage the last couple years.  Arena football is so much fun and they really enjoy photographing there.  Julie took the image that is on the Grand Rapids Media Guide cover.  The same image is also a background image on the football tickets, on other pages of the media guide, and as a background image on part of their website.  The image on the inside of the front cover is also Julie’s.program cover, ticket

This is Brian’s image of Chris Avery as he jumps into the end zone while catching a football.  Julie and Brian both have many images throughout the media guide.

Julie photographed this little girl reading her media guide during the April 29th game when they played the Nashville Kats.  The score of that game was 61-54, Grand Rapids win.

Arena football is something I call a cross between football and hockey.  It is very fast-paced and very exciting!!  It is in-your-face football.  It is played on a 50-yard field.  To go “out-of-bounds” the players run into a padded wall, often ending up very close to the crowd, or in the crowd!

This is Julie’s son Aaron getting autographs after the game.  They always have football players and cheerleaders on the field for a half an hour after each game to sign autographs.

Office Photos for ads and marketing

Posted on May 12, 2006

My dentist – Dr Laris Stumpos, recently bought  the dental practice in Troy and needed some photographs of their office staff for advertising.  I spent about an hour with them – taking groups  in various locations around the office – as well as individual photos of each of the women. We had a lot of fun and they loved the results. “Thanks for making us all look so great” – Dr Laris Stupos DDS.commented

They are great and also do Whitening and free “smile consultations” – great for those natural smiles on the day of the wedding!

This is something new we are offering in on-location photography – it’s a great service.  We present the  previews in thumbnail printouts and online – plus a high res CD of all the images to use as needed for advertising and marketing.  We can make framed enlargements, promotional digital coffee table books, etcdental office collage
