Julie was the main photographer for our wedding with Anastasia and Joe on !0-25-08.  The girls got ready at the home in Lake Orion and then on the the beautiful ceremony at the King of Kings Church in Lake Orion.  The reception was at the fabulous Canterbury Village.  The bride and groom and the wedding party enjoyed some fun romantics on the famous grounds of the medieval village and then everyone had a great reception in the castle hall.

The magic date this year was was 08-08-08 and we had a great wedding that day for Courtney and Mathew.

We started with the girls getting ready at the home in Riverview and then went on the nearby church St Syprian for a beautiful ceremony.
From there we traveled to Detroit for our “Urban Shoot”. We started at Hart Plaza by the fountain and the riverfront went on to the Fox Theater, Comerica Park and the Tiger and back across Woodward Ave to Hockey town. It was getting close to a Tiger game so lots of people around added to the fun. This was a lot of fun for all of us.

The reception was terrific also at the great Plymouth Meeting House Grande Ballroom and even ended with some sparklers.

They had photographed a great engagement session on Belle Isle and I had designed a sign in album with lots of images and romantic quotes chosen by Matt that everyone loved to browse through and sign. They also used their favorite image of ours on a Jones soda bottle favor, the cover of the program/CD booklet and a save the date magnet.

We apologize that the blog has been down for a few weeks while we investigated and worked on some potential security risks.  Everything seems to be back to normal- sorry for the inconvenience – I missed it also and will try to do some backtracking.

At the beginning of July we photographed Rachel and Peter and their family at the beautiful historic Henry Ford Estate. The children were darling and they had brought their Model T along for some great images.  We all had a great time making the rounds of the grounds.

We had donated a Family Session to a silent auction earlier and they were the wining bid.  It is always great to be a small part of helping to preserve this historical landmark.

Happy Mothers day to all the mothers out there.  Especially to my 2 daughters.  Julie who works hard with me is a great mom to her 2 boys Aaron and Steven ages 12 and almost 14.  Tracy is a terrific mom up in Alaska to her darling little guy Gunther. She is a nurse in Anchorage and has her hands full.

This mom is proud of her 2 “Mom” daughters!

I have been working on the album design for Kathleen and Matt.  We are still working on it and when the final design is done I’ll post the slide show. Their ceremony was at the Shrine Church on Woodward Ave in Royal Oak and we had awesome images of our “Urban Shoot” in Detroit – everyone had so much fun.  There were more romantics at the Historical Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn on their gorgeous grounds – this is where the evening finished out for the reception.

Here are 2 of our favorite album spreads so far.

On January 26, of 2006, Tracy and Rick had small ceremony in their snow covered back yard with 4 friends, a 3 year old, and our dogs. They got married outside at -15 degrees F. It was a quick thing, that is for sure, before they all froze solid. It was so pretty out though, they didn’t want to do it indoors. They will have another ceremony for friends and family in July of 2007 so everyone can plan on visiting and enjoying their beautiful state.
